Kicking off this year’s edition of Tongue on the Post (TOPFEST) in style is Kyle Church of Medicine Hat. Kyle was awarded the GMA Folk Album of the year in 2020 as well as being spotlighted in CBC’s top100 emerging artists competition in 2020. Kyle is no stranger to TOPFEST, we have watched this phenomenal young musician on his journey for a few years now and he always delivers an amazing performance.

Closing out the show on day 1 is none other then Albertan Jazz/Folk/World music superstar Ellen Doty. Ellen now calls Edmonton home and was very excited to join us here in Medicine Hat to live cast this unique version of our beloved festival in these new and creative times. This beautiful storyteller is sure to set the bar for what is an amazing 6 days of music, casting to you live from inside the historic Medalta Potteries unique brick beehive kiln
